Kenneth H. Ahmed, 73, passed into the universe on September 25, 2021. Kenneth was born on January 30, 1948 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to Beatrice (Williams) and Kenneth Ahmed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His compassion, understanding and love knew no bounds. Kenneth was an Army veteran, having served in Vietnam Iron Triangle, earning a Purple Heart. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree, and taught history at Jacksonville High School. He became employed by the Social Security Administration serving as supervisor for 25 years. After retirement, he traveled with his wife, Theresa, their trips included delivering FEMA trailers after hurricane Katrina. Later, he was employed by the town of Lady Lake as research and reference for the town library. Kenneth was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading and writing short stories, having published a book based on his life.
Kenneth was a straightforward, honest man with a sense of humor. He leaves his wife, Theresa (Rushton); sons, Michael (Rachel) Ahmed of Jacksonville, Steven Lyne; partner, Jessica Elliot of Wildwood; daughters, Heather Ferguson and LeeAnn (Joshua) Elkins of Wildwood. Grandchildren, Hailyn Lyne, Jaxon Ezekiel and Rubie Elkins all of Wildwood. Christopher (Beth) Ahmed of Louisiana, Samantha (Jarod) Maybern of North Carolina, Corey and Coleman Ahmed of Jacksonville, and five grandchildren. Two sisters, Sue Mello and Betty Rescigno and a brother John Rescigno all of Pawtucket, RI. and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Ahmed, his mother Beatrice Rescigno, stepfather, John Rescigno.
Kenneth is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
