Kenneth R. Bailey, age 80, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1944, to Vernon R. Bailey and Geneva B. Bailey in Pitkin, Louisiana.
Ken was married to his beloved wife, Linda Gayle Davis Bailey, for 51 wonderful years. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. He was the proud father of five children: Kendall Matthew Bailey and wife Laura of Stonewall, Louisiana; Laurie Bailey Wolf and husband Jack of Louisville, Kentucky; Sam G. Fransen and wife Jana of Sanford, North Carolina; Gay Lynn Fransen Loupe and husband Chris of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Kathy Fransen Walsh and husband Dan of Nashville, Tennessee.
Ken's legacy also lives on through his 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger D. Bailey of Leesville, Louisiana; and his granddaughter, McCall Roberts Andrews of Biloxi, Mississippi.
Ken will be remembered as a generous, kind, hardworking, and dependable man. He had a heart for helping others and deeply loved his family and community. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time in his shop, and working on his boat alongside his son, Matt.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of DeRidder, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Laraine Waughtal. Masonic services alongside burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. at Beauregard Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be sent to First United Methodist Church of DeRidder at P.O. Box 965 DeRidder, LA 70634.
Ken's life was a testament to love, service, and faith-a man whose presence will be deeply missed but whose impact will live on in all who knew him.
