Kenneth Don Bandy

Mr. Kenneth Don Bandy, 84, of Jeisyville, IL passed from this life at 2:27 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Taylorville Care Center.

He was born on May 25, 1941, in Benton, IL the son of William Paul and Cora Lucille (Tadlock) Bandy.

Kenneth married Patricia "Pat" Ann McAdams June 4, 1960, Birdsville, TN and she preceded him in death July 10, 2006.

Mr. Bandy worked as a repairman at Peabody Mine #10 near Pawnee eventually retiring from Marissa. He later worked for Bank of Springfield. Kenneth was a member of the Methodist faith, and the United Mine Workers of America and a former member of the South Fork Gun Club. He enjoyed telling stories, growing pecans and tomatoes, and was an avid gardener in general. Mr. Bandy coached Little League Baseball years ago and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his 3 sons Kenneth D. (wife Tammy) Bandy of Novinger, MO Shawn K. Bandy of Auburn, IL Lynn P. Bandy (husband Paul S. Lebon) of Springfield, IL 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers Bill Ray Bandy of Mt. Olive, IL Harry (wife Mary) Bandy of Bulpitt, IL and Paul Dwayne "Butcher" (wife Sandra) Bandy of Jeisyville, IL along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia, a daughter Michele Ward and a brother who gave his life for his country in Vietnam, SGT Larry Gene Bandy.

Visitation for Kenneth D. Bandy will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon with funeral services immediately following at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid. Burial will then take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.

A meal will follow the burial service at the South Fork Township Building 124 Central Ave. Kincaid, IL
