Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Kenneth Dale Barnes, age 76, of 109 Grants Way passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 1:45PM prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Friday, February 6, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield, NC. Revs. Jesse Brock will officiate.
Mr. Barnes was born on February 26, 1949 in Harnett County to the late Henry “Percy” Barnes and Martha Massengill Barnes Holland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Charlene Rose Barnes; and his brother, Larry Gale Barnes. He retired from Carolina Fire Protection as a pipefitter in 2015 and worked for several other fire protection companies. Mr. Barnes raced in the four-cylinder stock series, mainly at Wake County Speedway. He helped Donald Webb drag race for several years and was on Jamey Caudill’s pit crew for several years. Mr. Barnes enjoyed watching all sports, eating at the Four Oaks Restaurant, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a US Army Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War.
Surviving include his son, Rocky Dale Barnes and wife, Ashley; daughter, Chrissy Dawn Barnes; grandchildren, Michael Dean Parker, Sydney Shivar Barnes, Ethan James Parker, Morgan Dale Barnes and Marissa Dawn Hocutt; many nieces and nephews.
