Kenneth Bash Obituary

Kenneth Bash

Apr 16, 1951 - Dec 19, 2025

Bellevue

Kenneth Bash,74, was born April 16, 1951, in Cleveland, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Bellevue Hospital. Ken, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, spent his life dedicated to his family, his work, and his community. Ken was a 1969 graduate of Margaretta High School. He shared 55 years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Denise (Young) Bash, whom he married June 20, 1970. He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Ken was a hardworking man and began his career at Sandusky Folding Box in 1970, where he worked until 1994, then joined Sandusky Packing. His leadership led him to retire as plant manager in 2016. He was a lifetime member of Sandusky VFW No. 2529, Sandusky AMVETS No. 17 and Bellevue Eagles Aerie 490.

In retirement, Denise and Ken enjoyed traveling, woodworking, solving puzzles, and tinkering in his yard, often accompanied by the chirping of the birds he loved to watch. However, his greatest joy was found with his family, especially "KAPOPA" trips with his grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Denise; his daughter, Tracey Newman; his grandchildren, Olivia and Elliott Thomas; his sisters, Nancy (James) Rogers and Janice (Daniel) Fredrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Bash.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, at Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Beth Westphal will officiate.

Memorial contribu-tions in honor of Ken may be made to Conservation Fund (used to protect and restore birding habitat), Ohio Ornithological Society, P.O. Box 2432, Westerville, Ohio 43086.

Ken's family would like to express their gratitude for the response and care given by Sandusky County EMS and Bellevue Hospital when it mattered most.
