My sincerest condolences - it was such a shock to read this. He was an amazing person who will forever remain in my memory as an unconditional supporter of the Canton community. May his memory be eternal.

He grew up with my 2 daughters on Standish Road in Needham. Even as a young man he was a tremendous role model for them. He always greeted me with a smile when I would see him on Saturday mornings at the Dunkin Donuts before he would drop off his son at sports practice. I had great respect for him and sincerely I will greatly miss him.

Dear Holly and Ben, While I don´t personally know you, I grieve for your loss. I met Chief Berkowitz in 2005 before I traveled to Quantico to attend the FBI National Academy. Chief Berkowitz volunteered his time to help me and my cohort. This wasn´t the only time in my career that Chief Berkowitz helped me and I´m positive, countless others. He was one of those guys who just cared, and would do anything to help, no matter who you were. Near the end of my career, I reached out to Chief Berkowitz because I needed advice. At the time, I was the Deputy Chief in Somerville. He did more than advise me - he reached out personally on my behalf. I will never forget him. Please accept my sincerest condolences. May he rest in peace. Stephen Carrabino Deputy Chief (Ret.)

Condolences to your family. Saddened to hear this. Sending my warmest well wishes through this difficult time.
I met Ken through a BBF event - he was surprised by how many chicken wings I was eating during a lunch break and suggested he try some :´). Next run in, during a B´s game I saw him, I said hello and reminded him that I´m "chicken wing girl". From there on we connected about games, family and anything. He went far and beyond for his connections and community, supporting nonprofits I worked with too. It was not only nice to see a friendly face during busy game nights, but great to connect with a kind and genuine human. Thanks for making an impact on the community and so many people, including me - you will be missed!

Chief Berkowitz would come dome Pequit Street in the summer and hand all the kids ice cream from his trunk. Such a nice man. He will be missed.

Holly and Ben,
Sending thoughts and prayers to you both at such a difficult time. We enjoyed spending time with you all through the many sports teams Michael and Ben played on. We share some great memories together. I am so sorry we will not be able to attend Kenny´s services as we are currently out of the country. But please know you are both in our prayers.
Sincerely,

Chief Berkowitz was such a supporter of the Canton community. He knew who you were - even after one meeting - and always made time for the people of this community. He dedicated his career and life to protect and serve and did just that for this community and the men and women of our police department. My thoughts are with his family and the men and women with which he served.

Holly and Ben I am so sorry for your loss. Kenny was a good man and father and did so many good things for so many people, like picking up Izzy when he walked too far and needed a ride home. You are both in my prayers during this very difficult time.

I will always remember Chief as a person who would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. He always was so supportive of everyone and always brightened the room when he walked through the door.
May he rest in peace

I saw Kenny playing baseball in his yard. I wanted to play. I introduced myself.
Kenny looked me over and clearly was not too sure. However, he relented. We were best friends for years. He made me laugh every day. Just watching him lean back in his chair at school chewing on a pencil would make me smile. Happy we reconnected in recent years. Proud of what he did with his life.
