Kenneth Wayne Childress age 77 of Clinton, TN went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was a member of Lone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Andersonville, TN. He was a loving dad, grandfather, and boyfriend. Kenneth had a long career with the State of Tennessee. After retirement, Kenneth enjoyed buying lottery tickets and tinkering around the house. He also worked at the Senior Center where he enjoyed spending time with friends and drinking coffee. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Irene Childress; wife, Patricia Childress; brothers, Jack, David, and Jimmy Childress as well as an infant sister.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth Childress Jr., Michael Childress, Adam Childress and wife Brittany, Michelle Goodman and husband Roger, and Eddie Childress and wife Kayla; grandchildren, Trey and Colbie Childress, Daniel, Harper, and Bailee Childress, Bristol Goodman; girlfriend and special companion, Brenda Kuziak as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Kenneth’s family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary with the funeral to follow at 8:00pm with Rev. Freddie Bean and Rev. Matt Childress officiating. Kenneth’s graveside service and interment will be Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00am at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is honored to serve the Childress family.
