I express my sympathy and condolences to the family and close friends. I only knew of Mr. Coleman through my father and had hoped to meet him some day...

I didn't know Mr. Coleman but after the wonderful tribute to him and the services I know I would have liked him.

I'm so sorry for your loss Sherrie. Ken was an inspiration to many people. Remember the great times and hold them close to your heart and he'll always be with you.

I served with Ken in the Air Force and later at USAA... a really nice guy and friend...loved having conversations with him about golf, politics, golf, mutual friends, golf, his wife Sherrie and golf...saw him last a few months ago and while positive about beating his illness, he was not shy about letting me know he was suffering greatly...I have good memories...Jan and I send our condolences to Sherrie...

Met Col Coleman when I was with the 3534th AF Recruiting Squadron and he was he was deputy commander of the 3503 USAF Recruiting Group. I had on a Syracuse sweatshirt at a the group annual sales training meeting and he almost tackled me:-). What a nice guy and a gentleman. Was fortunate to also work with him at HQ AFRS before he retired. To Sherrie and his family, I hope the wonderful memories of your husband, Dad, and Grandfather help to ease your grief. Tom Gates

Deepest sympathy to you and your family Sherrie. I served under Ken's command in the 3505th Group at Chanute AFB. A great leader and a great man. Played many a racquetball game with the "old man" and could never take him down even with the age difference. I was from the Syracuse area and learned he was an S.U. grad. I remember he used to go back every once in awhile to get his Cuse gear. I saw him a few times over the past few years at Recruiting functions, but not recently so didn't know he was ill. He will be missed. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

I was very sad to see Colonel Coleman had passed away. I give my sincere condolences and prayers to the family. I served under Colonel when he was Commander of the 3505th Recruiting Group. He was a fine officer who was well respected by all. CMSgt Douglas Howard

Sherrie and family. We are saddened to learn of Ken's passing. We were not aware that Ken was ill. In addition to all of Ken's contributions to the schools here, there were his many contributions to the welfare of Universal City. Ken worked on so many projects, committees and boards over his time here that really made a difference in our quality of life and our preparations for improvements in the future. Few people know that Ken was a major driving force in the establishment of the Olympia Hills golf course and conference center. Both of you were major contributors when we raised funds for Parks Partners every year....the fruits of that labor are evident in city parks and the dog park. Ken was a steady force in our master planning efforts. And, both of you have always been ready to jump in, roll up your sleeves and get stuff done...sometimes on very short notice. Always dependable, always logical, always contributing, always caring, always there. A good citizen. A good Air Force officer. A good friend. We miss him.

I served with Colonel Coleman many years in Recruiting Service. He was an officer of rare integrity and humanity. He always chose "the harder right over the easier wrong". At a critical juncture in my career he took a stand on my behalf that was unpopular with his superiors. He was that kind of man. Condolences to his family. May he rest in peace. So sorry to hear about Ken. It has been many many years since I have been in his company. Probably at grannys house in Baltimore with Aunt Mary. But so many of the cousins spoke of him with much love and respect. Thinking of you and your family. Lorrie Calvert Pfieffer

I am so glad I got to take my kids, Ken and Sherrie's youngest grandkids down to see them back in June. It was great to see them! It was funny one day while we were there Sherrie, Kyson and I were out and about, Jazzy stayed with grandad. Sherrie called Ken to have him and Jazzy meet us for lunch. I asked Sherrie will he be ok driving and she said "oh yeah". Jazzy and grandad showed up at the restaurant and jazzy said "I'm driving back with grandad he's fun to be in the car with and he doesn't use his blinkers." It was funny because when Jazzy was two, Greg and I took her to see Ken and Sherrie. We all went to Sea World, I remember telling Greg "your dads an aggressive driver and he doesn't even use his blinkers", this still makes me laugh. He was a great man and Sherrie was his rock. He will be greatly missed!

Ken .You have been my rock in all things and the void in my heart will never be filled...Even though we lived in separate states I would always call you for your advice and to just chat about how things were going in our lives...I will always love and miss you greatly...Now you are at peace and if there is a golf course in heaven...that is surely where you will be...R.I.P. .big brother...

Sherrie, it was with deep sadness that we learned of Ken's passing. He was a good friend, neighbor, and fellow officer. I shall miss him.

It's hard saying good bye to such a great man! I had nothing but love & respect for him, and am so grateful for all he's done for me, and our family, over the years! The kids will really miss their Granddad! They always enjoyed it when he'd come in town, and the boys were so grateful to get to take the Alaskan Cruise with him & Grandma Sherrie...memories they will always treasure! I am grateful for so many wonderful memories, as well, and will hold them close to my heart! Much love to our Coleman Family at this difficult time!
