Kenneth Ray "Buzzy" Cox, age 75, of Henderson, KY, went to be with the Lord at 4:00 AM, Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center, Hanson, KY. Buzzy was born on February 22, 1938 to Clifford and Lena Cox. He grew up in Hebbardsville near the Green River bottoms where his dad was a logger. Kenneth met the love of his life, Lora, in 1959 and they married in 1961. He was a devoted worker for Gamco for over 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a strong Christian man who enjoyed going to church. Kenneth was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 30 years. Buzzy's favorite pass times included hunting, fishing, and making homemade chili for his family and friends. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers Glenn Cox & Larry Cox, and one sister Doris Turner. Survivors include: Wife of 51 years: Lora Cox Henderson, KY 2 Daughters: Kathy Morrow Henderson, KY Gretchen Sutton and husband Ronnie Hebbardsville, KY 5 Sons: Kenneth D. Cox Hebbardsville, KY Ritchie Cox and fiancée Sherri Waverly, KY Devin Cox Hebbardsville, KY John Cox IN Daniel Cox MO 3 Sisters 1 Brother 9 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild Several Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to Kenneth's Life Celebration from 2-8 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 and again on Saturday starting at 12:00 until service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the funeral home with the Reverend Danny Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Western Kentucky Veterans Center
