Pastor Crumpton was always full of good cheer and served joyfully as AGO chaplain for several years. He had traveled to East Germany several years before we met him and he loved to tell us about seeing the churches where J.S.Bach presided over the music. He was a wonderful person and those who knew him were fortunate.

I met Pastor Crumpton many years ago at an American Guild of Orgnist meeting and dinner. He was the chaplin for the Richmond AGO chapter for many years. He and Katherine were very supportive in activities and events
of the local chapter.
It was conforting to have some one
of his caliber to share concerns and thoughts with.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
May his memory be eternal.

Pastor Crumpton and my brother both shared the same name--Kenneth--and a love of trains. We knew him both from the Old Dominion Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and as pastor at Christ Lutheran. My thoughts are with the family at this time.

I knew Pastor Crumpton when he served as an interim minister at St. Luke's in Richmond. My parents were fond of him. My mother, Joanne Turner, also knew Mrs. Crumpton because they were both musically inclined. I also knew Pastor Crumpton through my current membership at All Saints Episcopal.
Pastor Crumpton was kind to call my Dad in February when my Mom passed on.
Pastor Crumpton was also a blessing to my sister. When she was a member of St. Luke's, she was diagnosed with AIDS in the 1980's. She didn't tell anyone in our family for a long time - but she did meet with Pastor Crumpton when he was the interim pastor at St. Luke's. I never learned of their meeting until years later when Pastor Crumpton met shared such with me. I am glad that my sister (who passed on in 1990) felt that she could share such with him. This is to his credit.
I appreciated hearing Pastor Crumpton preach at as guest preacher at All Saints.
I am sorry for your loss. Your father was a warm genuinely Christian person who will be remembered fondly by many -
God Bless.
