It was a first time for me but I went with the scouts- my husband being the scoutmaster of troop 1321 and Ivan was in charge of the Venture Crew to fill luminaries at Antietam in western MD for their annual event. Both Ivan and Jane were there. We all worked together along with many other volunteers to fill 5,000 luminaries in memory of those who died in the Battle of Antietam. It was very touching to drive through that night with all the scouts and leaders, to see them all lit up. Ivan was also our Vet for many years. He was available by phone at home when our dog was bit by a copperhead! Ivan cared about dogs (and cats) so much. We enjoyed many St. Patricks Day parties at Jane and Ivan´s house. It was always a lot of fun, singing many Irish songs and trying different beers. Gosh- I met Jane at the Gwynn center when Owen was 2! I am so so saddened by this tragic accident. We will miss Ivan so much. Jane, if you need anything call us. We will help however we can.

Dear Jane and family - my sincerest condolences ! You and Dr C were so kind and caring to my mother, Clyde Williams, and to her pets. She adored both of you - as I recall she named a kitten Ivan. Thank you for sharing all your love and support!

Oh Dr. C, I am heartbroken. Moving to South Carolina nine years and not having you as my vet was beyond hard. I recently stopped by your office while visiting family for the holidays but you were not in. Your compassion was unbelievable. I will never ever forget your compassion and kindness. God bless your family. Love you Dr. C.
