Kenneth James "Kent" Faivor, a lifelong resident of St. Johns, Michigan, died on September 13, 2025, at the age of 61, following complications from a heart attack two weeks earlier.

Born on May 1, 1964, in Lansing, Michigan, Kent was the son of Tom and Agnes (Schmitz) Faivor. He grew up in St. Johns and graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1982. Kent went on to earn his builder's license and founded his own business, Faivor Framing, proudly working under the slogan, "Nail It."

Kent was known for his ingenuity and determination. He loved inventing, tinkering, and fixing things-always with an eye for gadgets and practical solutions. Though hard-willed in his younger years, in recent years Kent was remembered as a gentle giant with a laid-back spirit. He had a deep love for his rescue dogs and enjoyed motorcycle rides with them by his side. Above all, he was a man who quietly helped others whenever he could, and cultured a deep devotion to God.

Kent was the devoted partner of Miki Curfman, with whom he shared many meaningful years. He was also deeply connected to Miki's daughters, Kristina Rogers and Jami Brown, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Agnes Faivor; his brother, Tom Faivor; his sister, Kay Faivor; and his sister-in-law, Suzanne Faivor.

Kent is survived by his companion, Miki Curfman; siblings, Susan Faivor, Larry Faivor, Pete (Patti) Faivor, Dave (Liane) Faivor, and Danny Faivor; ten nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Mayday; and a wide circle of dear friends.

Services will be held privately.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Michigan Humane Society.
