Kenneth Gagne Obituary

It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that we announce the passing of Kenneth Gagne, who left us suddenly on November 4, 2025. He turned 75 on October 28. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Kenneth lived a life filled with purpose, laughter, and love. He was the devoted husband of Maria for 53 wonderful years, sharing a life together in Lawton, OK, where they made their home since 1999.

One of the proudest moments of his life was serving in the United States Coast Guard, a chapter of his life that he cherished deeply. After retiring from a successful career in manufacturing, Kenneth became the proud owner of three restaurants, where he touched the lives of many as a boss and mentor to younger people. His leadership, generosity, and warmth created a family-like atmosphere wherever he went.

Ken was the loving father of three sons: Kenneth II of Petrolia, TX, Luther of Auburn, NY, and Bernard of Lawton, OK. He was also a proud grandfather to his only granddaughter, Andrea, who lives in New York. He is survived by his two sisters, Maxine Millward and Carol Arnold, both of Martville, NY, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, many of whom live in New York.

To those who knew him, Ken was much more than a father and grandfather—he was a friend, a mentor, and a source of endless joy. He loved a good party, and his infectious laughter and joyful spirit made every occasion brighter. His favorite drink was a strawberry margarita with a Jose Cuervo kicker, and he’d always say that life was best enjoyed with good company and a cold drink in hand.

To celebrate his life and the many memories he leaves behind, we invite all who knew him to join us for a Commemoration of His Life Memorial Service on April 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Tu Familia Restaurant on OK 49 in Medicine Park, OK. In honor of his love for life and good times, we ask that you come to share his favorite drink and raise a glass in celebration. There are no requests for charity, just a simple wish for everyone to come together, share a drink, and remember the good times with Ken.

He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and living life to the fullest will continue to inspire those who knew him.
