Kenneth Gardner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meadors Funeral Home - Republic Chapel on Feb. 9, 2026.
In Loving Memory of Kenneth "Kenny" Gardner

September 30, 1943 – February 6, 2026

Kenneth "Kenny" Gardner, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2026,

surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was a devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a loyal friend. His life was defined by kindness, integrity, love, and laughter. Born in Marionville, Missouri, Kenny was the beloved son of Franklin and Jewel Gardner. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity-principles that guided his life and were passed on to his family. Kenny was a

true sportsman and conservationist who loved hunting, fishing, trapping, and spending time at the lake. He also found great joy in farming and raising cattle.

Kenny spent his career building bridges and working as a carpenter, where he formed lifelong friendships with many wonderful people. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his strong work ethic and fairness. Though he valued his career, nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with family and close friends. Known for his warm laugh and generous spirit, Kenny was a mentor, a trusted listener, and a steady source of encouragement to those who knew him. His proudest role was being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was always the first to offer praise, lend a helping hand, or simply listen without judgment. Kenny is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, J.R. Gardner and Brandi Gardner, and their son, Bradley Gardner; his daughter Susan Parker and her husband Michael Parker; their daughter Tara Beard and her husband Troy Beard, and their daughters, Everly and Audrey Beard; and her daughter Julie O'Leary and her husband Austin O'Leary, along with many extended family members and dear

friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Jewel Gardner.

A celebration of Kenny's life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic (314 North Main Ave, Republic, MO. 65738). Military Honors will be held at 5 p.m., just outside the doors of the chapel at Meadors Funeral Home, 314 N Main Ave, Republic. His Visitation will follow from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services are under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.medorsfuneralhome.com

Kenny's legacy is one of love, strength, and devotion to family. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
