Kenneth E. Herr, 90, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. He was born June 1, 1934, in Americus, IN, to the late Keith Herr and Leona (Schnepp) Herr Johnson.
Ken graduated from Buck Creek High School in 1952. On July 29, 1955, he married Marlene Dexter in Lafayette and she survives.
Ken worked at ALCOA for 31 years and is a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Lafayette. He enjoyed painting landscapes, woodworking, playing harmonica and guitar.
Surviving along with his wife are his children Douglas Herr of Lafayette, Connie (Randy) Brooks of Delphi, Tom Herr (Jill Bertram) of Yeoman, Richard Herr of Lafayette, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving is his ½ sisters Edith Ratlif of Paragon, IN and Kathy.
Ken was preceded in death by his daughter Eva Flores and a brother Glen Herr.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1526 South 18th Street, Lafayette, Rev. Dr. T. J. Jenney officiating. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, Indiana.
