Kenneth R. Ilg, of Mashpee, MA and formerly of Bradenton, FL, passed away on January 30th, 2026 at Falmouth Hospital. He was 90 years old.

Born in New York City to Edmond and Dorothy Ilg. He was an Air Force Veteran and served in the post-Korean era with a stateside assignment at Otis Airforce Base on Cape Cod.

A photographer for the Cape Cod Standard Times; he photographed the Kennedy's in the 1960s. He also worked at Falmouth Hospital as the photographer who took babies first pictures as they were born. He opened a pro-ice shop where he fitted and sold first figure stakes to youngsters that would later go on to earn medals in the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). He retired from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Ken belonged to the Mason Lodge for many years. He loved to cook and garden and loved trying new recipes. He loved his beloved wife, Nancy, up until her passing in 2020. They were married for 67 years.

He is survived by his daughters Bethann Leavitt of Falmouth, and Wendy (Kevin) Smith of Hyannis. He leaves 6 grandchildren: Tatum Sierello, Margo Smith, Michael Smith, Amy Danick, Natasha Babel, and Katie Landers; as well as 6 great-grandchildren: Abby Danick, Quinn Danick, Maverick Smith, Ezekiel Smith, Ralph Sierello, and R.J. Ostrea, Jr. He also is survived by brother Edmond Ilg of New Jersy and cousin Carol Ireland, of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 10th from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
