ATC Kenneth R. Jackson CAC, USN, Ret.
ATC Kenneth R. Jackson CAC, USN, Ret. was born in Iowa Falls, IA, the son of George and Eleanor (Whitman) Jackson. Ken graduated from Dike High School in 1962. He joined the United States Navy and served for 21 years, 7 months and 21 days, but who's counting? Ken got out of the Navy, but the Navy never got out of him. After his discharge, he worked in Industrial Automation, then owned and operated Ken's Custom Computers, closing later due to medical issues. He was all things military and loved music. Ken married Michaela "Mickey" Jensen on June 8, 1974. He was a member of Robert J. Hibbs VFW Post 3896 in Cedar Falls and the American Legion Post 471 in Dike.
Ken passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the age of 79, at UnityPointHealth – Allen Memorial.
He is preceded in death by his mother; sister, Susan Shoafstall; brothers: George and Daniel Jackson and nephew, Travis Lundberg.
Ken is survived by his wife, Michaela of Waterloo; son, Sean (Andrea) Jackson of Knoxville, TN; a granddaughter, Ryleigh Jackson; siblings: Debra Jackson of Iowa Falls, Dennis Jackson of Ackley, Nancy (Darrell) Meyer of Alden, Cindy MacDonald of Live Oak, FL; half-sister, Danielle Russell of Waterloo; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to VFW Post 3896 or American Legion 471.
Visitation: Friday, August 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.
Service: Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories
Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted.

Ken was a great neighbor that enjoyed visiting, sharing his love of the military & keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood. He was a proud man with a positive attitude no matter what. He will be missed.
