Kenneth Jones Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harkins Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 3, 2025.
Kenneth "Kenny" Charles Jones, Sr., born June 14, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away December 1, 2025, at his home in Essex, Maryland, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind a tapestry of love, faith, and lifelong dedication to family, friends, and community.

Kenny lived a life defined by devotion-first to his faith and to the Church of God, where he served with a generous heart on numerous committees, including building committees and the pastor's council. He approached every project with hands-on spirit and a servant's heart, always ready to lend aid and bring people together to accomplish good works.

A successful entrepreneur, Kenny built a legacy in construction, trucking, and project management, blending practical expertise with a tireless work ethic. He was a lifelong Trekkie, a proud family man, and someone who cherished simple joys: fishing, crabbing, woodworking, and most of all, the time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by his devoted wife, Angela Jones; his daughter Tammy Lawson; his son Kenneth Jones Jr.; his daughter Elizabeth Lafferty; and his daughter Rachel Carter. He rejoiced as the grandfather of nine and the great-grandfather of five. He is predeceased by his beloved son Keith Jones, his stepfather Francis Myers, his mother Delores Delgado, his brother Francis Myers, Jr., and his sister Mary Myers-Costello. He is survived by his sister Barbara Hagy, along with many other cherished family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Life Source International Church, 7000 Rossville Boulevard, Rosedale, Maryland 21237. The gathering will continue on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Life Source International Church.

Kenny's life was a testament to faith, family, and service. He touched many with his generosity, encouraged others with his steadfast belief, and left behind a family and community that will carry his memory with them always.
