Kenneth Michael "Kenny" Joseph, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at Wheeling Hospital in
Wheeling, West Virginia, with his family by his side. Born on November 4, 1930, in Wheeling, Kenny lived a full and vibrant life of 94 years.
Kenny proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, a testament to his enduring dedication and bravery. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, where he was known for his unwavering commitment and friendly demeanor. After retiring from the Postal Service, Kenny continued to serve his community by working for nearly 20 years at Altmeyer Funeral Homes in West Virginia.
A devout man of faith, Kenny was an active member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in
Wheeling, WV. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both joyful and challenging times.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Nimon and Mary (Habeb) Joseph; his sisters, Marie Roth, Ann Joseph, Mildred Dennis, Catherine Dieckhoner, Betty Abraham, Clara Carter, and Evelyn Goodson; his brothers, George Joseph and Michael Joseph, and his grandson, Bryan (Brittany) Joseph.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy Eileen (Carter) Joseph, who stood by his side throughout their many years together. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his son, Michael A. Joseph and his wife, Toshia of Valparaiso, IN; his daughter, Cheryl A. Tucker and her husband, Daniel of St. Clairsville, OH; and his sister, Jean Weisner of
Wheeling, WV. Kenny was a proud grandfather to Matthew (Kim) Joseph, Halie Felton, Nathan (Lindsey) Tucker, Brandon (Cameron) Tucker, and Emmery Joseph, and a great-grandfather to seven precious great-grandchildren, Carter, Mira, Joelle, Colton, Brody, Mason, and Morgan. He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenny's warmth, kindness, and steadfast spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and community.
Friends will be received Thursday, July 17, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, from 4 pm until time of vigil service at 7:30 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Friday, July 18, at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling, with Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
