Kenneth "Ken" D. Kepler, age 83, of Chappell, NE, known as "son" to his family, passed away at Sidney Regional Medical Center on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Grace Community Fellowship in Chappell with Pastor Brent DeJong officiating. Burial will follow at the Chappell Cemetery. A public visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 to service time. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials have been established to Adopt-A-Dog in Chappell. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel to leave condolences for the family.

Kenneth was born on February 1, 1942, in Broadwater, NE, to Wavel and Vera (Wright) Kepler. He was the 3rd oldest of 11 children.
Kenneth and Shirley were married 56 years. Children include Ken Kepler Jr. and wife Becky of Lodgepole, NE, Ron Kepler, Randy Kepler of Robbins, TN, Mark Kepler and wife Barbara of Chappell, NE, and Robin Sobliros and husband Joe of Thornton, CO.
He worked for Leprino Foods of Chappell, NE, as a local milk truck driver in his early years of employment, then transferred to a long-distance hauler from coast to coast working out of Denver, CO. Ken was employed by Leprino's for 37 years where he earned several awards for driving millions of miles accident free. Ken retired in 2002.
Ken is survived by his wife Shirley, siblings Iona Kurth, Gerald Kepler, Bob Kepler, Eileen Sherman, Harold Kepler, Lonnie Kepler, Larry Kepler. Sons Ken Jr, Randy, Mark, daughter Robin and 11 Grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Wavel and Vera Kepler, sister, Grace Boman, brothers Dan Kepler and Dwight Kepler, sister-in-law Pam Kepler, son Ron, infant daughter Brenda Kepler, infant son Robert Kepler.
