Kenneth Kuhn Obituary

Kenneth John "Kenny" Kuhn

Kenneth John "Kenny" Kuhn, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at 6:20 p.m. at Autumnwood Nursing Home, his residence for the last three years.

Born the only child of William P. and Lucille K. (Dell) Kuhn, January 26, 1938, in Tiffin. Kenny graduated in 1956 from Calvert High School and enlisted in the Army Reserve, where he served from 1956-1962. He married Helen Marie Long (a/k/a Sandy Decker), the daughter and only child of John Harold "Shorty" Long and Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Decker, at St. Mary's, Tiffin, September 12, 1959.

Kenny is survived by his wife of Autumnwood; four kids, Dwight (Cynthia) Kuhn of Taylor, Michigan, Annette (Gregory) Covert of Bloomville, Douglas (Linda) Kuhn and Kimberly (Timothy) Feasel, all of Tiffin; nine grandkids, Desireah Kuhn and Aaron Kuhn, of Taylor, Michigan, Brittany (Timothy) Breyman of Sherwood, Seth Covert of Bloomville, Nicole (Zachary) Mitchell, Natalie (Jacob) Wiese, Levi Feasel, Joshua (Sara) Kuhn and Derek (Brandy) Porter, all of Tiffin; eight great-grandkids, Isak Kuhn, Alessandra, Adalyn and Ariana Ryan, Ava and Lilly Breyman, Cooper Kuhn, Braylie Porter, Cheyanne "Olivia" and Violett Miller of Taylor, Michigan; and 13 additional step, great, and great-great grandkids.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and a son.

Kenny worked as the dairy department head at A&P Grocery Store in Tiffin and Bowling Green from high school into the 1980s, when the grocer closed all its Ohio stores. He also worked as the maintenance man at Betty Jane Center and School of Opportunity from 1973 until the latter built its current facility south of SR 224. Kenny worked as a maintenance man for the school until he retired in 2003.

Kenny enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and he enjoyed camping and traveling. Kenny and his family visited almost every state in the country and camped in some truly unusual places. Kenny also loved to make holiday treats, Christmas cut-out cookies and candied popcorn balls when his kids were little and gingerbread men when the grandkids came along.

Kenny was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and with communion distribution until his health confined him to his home.

Funeral Service will be at noon Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
