Kenneth Lenz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah on Dec. 16, 2025.
Kenneth G. Lenz, age 83, of Tomah, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. He was born on April 14, 1942, in Tomah, WI, to Reuben and Marie (Hunholz) Lenz.
Kenneth's life was one marked by love and commitment. He married the love of his life, Sandra Rattle, on April 20, 1968, at the First United Methodist Church in Tomah. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their children Kim, Kelly (Mark) Keith, and Kevin (Nicole) Lenz. Kenneth was a proud grandfather to Angellus Gikas, Blake (Star) Hedding, Morgan (Kevin) Rouse, Talon Sanders, Terran Sanders, and Cory Keith, as well as a loving great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his universe, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, Reuben and Marie, his cherished grandson Kyler Lenz, and his daughter Kim's significant other, Philip Gikas. Kenneth's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, yet they find comfort in the enduring memories of his kindness and warmth.
A true son of the soil, Kenneth completed the short course for farming at Madison, which fueled his passion for agriculture. He proudly owned and operated his family dairy farm alongside Sandra for many years, both on Hwy M in the Warrens area and on Hwy. 16 in Tomah. His dedication to farming was evident in the meticulous care he gave to his family's Belgian horses and Brown Swiss cows, which he raised and showed with great pride. He was an avid participant in a local bowling league, enjoyed the camaraderie of card club gatherings, and never missed an opportunity to watch a Western. A sports enthusiast through and through, Kenneth was a loyal supporter of the Badgers and Packers football teams.
A Celebration of Kenneth's Life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
