Kenneth (Ken) Roy Lockhart passed away peacefully in the hospital on Saturday September 20th 2025 after a tragic accident at the age of 77.

Born on July 22nd 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pa., Ken was the beloved son of James and Bessie (Ayers) Lockhart. He spent the majority of his life in Carnegie, Pa., where he built a lifetime of memories and friendships that would define his enduring legacy.

Ken served in the United States Army before embarking on a long and dedicated career at the western penitentiary on the north side of Pittsburgh. His caring, strong, and funny personality left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family played a central role in Ken's life. He adored and cherished his wife of 55 years, his three daughters, and three grandchildren. His family was his world and he made sure they knew how important they were to him every day.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bessie Lockhart; his brothers, James Lockhart (Carol) and Bill Lockhart (Karen), and his sister, Nina Lockhart.

He is survived by his loving wife Maria (Talmonti) Lockhart; his beloved children, Amy Lockhart; Rosanne (Lockhart) BeHage (Rick); and Melissa Lockhart (Kurt); his grandchildren Alyssa Poole (Chris); Elizabeth BeHage (Andrew); and Nathan BeHage. His brother Bob Lockhart (Cindy); and sister Bessie (Lockhart) Dierolf (Steve).

Ken will be remembered for his helping spirit, love of life, and the lasting connections he made with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
