Kenneth M. Davis

I did not know until now (July, 2025) that Ken had passed away. When I last talked to him, he was in the hospital, but said "don't worry, I'll do your taxes." He had been my accountant for over 40 years, starting when we both lived in Houston. I followed him (or he followed me) as we both moved (he to Philly) and me to six other cities in the US. I kept trying to call and email after that last conversation, but everything went "silent." I couldn't find an obituary, so I assumed he was just still ill, and we'd be back in touch when he recovered. I had to move on, but knew I'd always go back to him if he was well enough to take his clients back. Like others who posted here, I, too, listened to many jokes over the years (mostly good ones too!), and I just didn't have the joke files in my head that he did, so I was a poor contributor to that always-promised client joke book he was going to put out. We had a lot of laughs and he made the process of doing my taxes painless. My belated condolences go out to Elva and the extended family. He ALWAYS showed me pictures of the grandkids and talked about the travels that he and Elva took. Family always came first to Ken, and the love he had for all of you just radiated from his pores. I know you have many memories that hopefully will stay with you over the years. He was one of the good ones.

My apologies to the Davis family. I recently found out that Ken passed away; I'm in shock. Ken was an amazing dude! I actually looked forward to our taxes being done by him. He had a love for the DoubleTree in NYC and our meetings there were filled with laughter, stories and of course, the business of taxes. Ken's jokes (dirty and clean!) would double me over. There is a story he shared with me while he was in the Armed Forces that I tell my friends and family to this day. That's how impactful it was. Saying goodbye to Ken is so surreal; he was simply so filled with life and laugher and good times! I can still hear his voice after we hugged it out at the end of our meeting: "See you later, toots." What an absolute gem of a man!

Ken made "tax time" something to look forward to. His jokes, music and attire contributed to his yearly meetings but it was his caring heart and soul that made him so so special. My condolences to his family- I know he is deeply missed.

Ken was always a pleasure to have my taxes done with. I'd arrive to the hotel and he would always have some good music playing. We had to start the meeting with a joke. His were always better than mine. Cant forget the Hawaiian shirts, you are missed my friend! RIP

Kenny was my accountant for decades, and while it is hard to enjoy tax time with Kenny around, it was easy. Funny man, great taste in music and food. I did my best to stay in touch but I know he was not on an easy road the last few years. RIP my friend
