Kenneth “Sam” Matthews passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 54. He was born on December 28, 1970, in Franklin, Louisiana, and was later a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Sam loved to draw, go fishing with his buddies, and spend time with his friends and family.
Sam is survived by his siblings, Freddie Matthews, Benita Matthews, Gail Matthews, Joyce Matthews, Christopher Matthews, and Linda Matthews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Maude Johnson Matthews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
