Kenneth was born September 17, 1935 in Newport, KY to George and Mary Mertle.
He was preceded in death by Father, George F Mertle, Mother, Mary Mertle, Nephew, Paul Mertle, Sister, Claire Ledonne, Brother, George Mertle.
Kenneth is survived by his Nephew, Mike (Kim) Ledonne, Niece, Kathy (Mike) Meyers of Highland Heights, KY, Niece, Terry (Steve) Mazzella, Nephew, Ray (Jenny) Mertle, Niece, Peggy (Marty) Whitacre, Niece, Debbie (Paul) Lorenz, Niece, Sharon (Eric) Engelhard, Niece, Theresa Mertle, Nephew, Gerard Mertle, and many Great, and Great Great Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation 10:15 am to 11:15 am, Monday, February 23, 2026 at Holy Spirit Church, Newport, KY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:15 am Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Holy Spirit Church, Newport, Kentucky, with Rev. Msgr. William F. Cleves, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St Joseph Cemetery in Cold Spring KY, .
Memorials are suggested to Newport Central Catholic Schools at ( https://ncchs.com/donate).
