Ken graduated from Colorado Springs High School where he found his love of swimming. In 1955, he won the state championship in breast stroke. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Pender County in the Western Pacific until 1957.
He graduated from Colorado State College and taught at Widefield High School for 2 years. He then went into real estate and in 1967 he established his own company, Investors Realty. In 1978 he established ColKan, a master franchise of ERA and built it into a successful business. He retired in 1999.
He met the love of his life, Loretta, on a blind date. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage until her passing. Ken is survived by 2 children, Mark and Jodi (Jeff) Waters and his treasured granddaughters, Avery and Shealan. He was a devoted husband, Dad & Popi and his memory will be cherished.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Saturday, Nov 22nd at noon. Reception to follow at Colorado Springs Country Club at 1:30
