Kenneth Stanley Moore, age 59, of Hubbardston, MA, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at UMASS Medical Center with family by his side. He was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend, April Moore.
Ken Moore was born April 13, 1964, in Ayer, MA, the son of Robert Moore and the late Barbara (Salter) Moore. He was raised and educated in Ayer, MA, with three younger sisters. He was fondly known as one of the "pond kids".
Ken and April married on August 28, 1993, in Wareham, MA, where they raised their loving children together. Later in life, they settled in Hubbardston, MA. He cherished time with his family, especially his loving grandchildren, Best Papa Ever! Ken passionately devoted 44 years to his work family at Aubuchon Hardware Company. He began his career in high school working part-time, eventually working up to Merchandising Director. For Ken, this was more than just a job. He loved this company, and it truly enriched his life and the lives of his family. He also enjoyed golfing, relaxing on the beach, and watching the Patriots.
Ken is survived by his sons Robert Oliveira Jr. and his fiance Melissa, Ryan Oliveira, his daughter Ashley Lamb and her husband Erich, and his loving grandchildren (Tyler, Maddisyn, Kamryn, Jordan, Mackenzie, and Erich Jr). His siblings Karen Nocito and her husband Jim, Patti Macapulay and her husband Bill, Jenn Moore, along with nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Reliant Medical Oncology, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Umass Medical Center for their care and kindness.
