Kenneth Robert "Kenny" Pahls, 53, of North Vernon, passed away on December 28, 2022, at his residence.
Born October 29, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Charlotte Anne (Sundermann) Pahls.
Kenny worked for Night Hawk security at N.V.I.C. and was the former owner of Pizzaz Pizza and JC Double Decker's in North Vernon. He was a member of Grayford Road Community Church; he was always giving prayer request for friends and was a devout Christian. He was also a member of Ann Lanphear Karaoke. Kenny enjoyed singing and songwriting. He was a foodie and inventor. He loved Jesus, his goal was for everyone to know Jesus. Kenny cared for the homeless and had a very giving spirit.
Survivors include his brothers, Joseph Edward (Shari) Pahls of Madison, David Vincent (Amanda Risley) Pahls and Thomas Charles (Angie Matthews) Pahls, both of North Vernon, Michael James Pahls of Beverly, Massachusetts, and John Fitzpatrick (Amy Messer) Pahls of Seymour; sisters, Susan Lynne (Raymond Howard) Pahls and Jennifer Grace Pahls, both of North Vernon; nieces and nephews, Shaun Snyder of Texas, Luke Pearson, Elijah Pahls, and Courtney McDonald, all of Louisville, Kentucky, Noah Howard and Jayden Pahls, both of North Vernon, Kayla Williams of Scottsburg, and Macy Hall of Columbus; great-nieces, Hadley and Blakely Williams; and best friend, Steve Bourff of Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Sophia Pahls.
The funeral service for Kenny will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Tim Poer officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. OmH
