Kenneth R. Peoples, age 75 of Addison, New York passed away on Monday, November 10th, 2025 at his home in Addison. He was born on October 17th, 1950 in Wellsboro, PA to William and Laura Peoples. Ken married Millie (Hall) Peoples on January 10th, 1969.
For more than 50 years, he was a proud part of the racing community at Woodhull Raceway. Known for his bright yellow 5K truck, he became a legend on the track, earning 12 track championships and more feature wins than anyone could ever tally. His dedication and skill led to his induction into the Woodhull Raceway Hall of Fame, a recognition he cherished deeply. After retiring from driving, he passed the torch to his son, Kenny, serving as his crew chief and cheering him on as he continued the family's legacy.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Millie Peoples; daughters: Tammy (Mike ) Wooldridge of Addison, Carrie Johnson of Hedgesville, Amy (Bob) Davis of Cameron, son: Kenneth Peoples Jr (Shannon) of Addison; loyal companion and four legged best friend, Ruby; grandchildren: Kierstin (Craig) Vona, Michael (Beckie) Wooldridge, Kristopher (Coty) Davis, Kaeli (Dylan) Deuel, Bryant (Zannah) Johnson, Masey Johnson, Makenzie and Kenny "Buck" Peoples III; 11 great grandchildren: Chase, Brynnleigh, Adalynn, Emmett, Kennedy, Kinsley, Michael, Kylan, Bryer, Phoebe, and Malkolm; 2 brothers: Bob (Glenda) Peoples, Brad Peoples; brothers and sisters in law: Marilyn Peoples, Martha Stratton, Margie Miles, Jim Hall, Ben Hall, Joel Hall, Fred Marsh; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by his grandchildren Jacob Davis and Makenzie Wooldridge, son-in-law Mike Johnson, sister Gloria Smith, brothers Thomas Peoples Sr., and William Peoples Jr, niece Melissa Holden, and brothers in law Frank Hall and Ed Hall.
Friends and family are invited to call at Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00pm with Rev. Troy Preston officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Addison Rural Cemetery.
