Kenneth Dale Phillips was born on April 8, 1957 in Shamrock, Texas to Dayton Ray Phillips and Virginia Ann Parks. He graduated from Beaver High School in 1975. He was married shortly after high school and the union resulted in two sons, Jeff and Clint Phillips.
Dale was a lifelong resident of Beaver, Oklahoma and held many different jobs, from his first job as a movie theater projector attendant to positions at the hardware and lumber yard. He held many positions over the years in compression and natural gas. He owned and operated two different companies, the Forgan Cable Company and Phillips and Sons.
Dale was a devoted son who took wonderful care of his mother. In his youth, he raced dirt bikes. He enjoyed taking care of his animals, reliving fishing stories, playing dominoes and pool, spending time at the lake, and visiting Canton and Red River. Most of all he appreciated visits with his family around bowls of homemade ice cream while camping.
Preceding him in death was his father, Dayton Phillips, and two infant sisters.
He passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Dale is survived by his mother, Virginia Phillips of Beaver, Oklahoma. Dale leaves behind his two sons, Jeff Phillips of Amarillo, Texas and Clint and Kerissa Phillips of Stillwater, Oklahoma. His grandchildren, Hayden Phillips (19), Harper Phillips (15), Asher Phillips (11), Dayton Phillips (8), and Kaleb Phillips (6). His brother, David Phillips, of Canyon, Texas and sister Danita Dycus and Tommy of Carlsbad, New Mexico. He is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
