Kenneth P. Pittman, 90, of Castanea, passed away at home after a long illness.
Born and raised in Lock Haven, Ken was a 1953 graduate of Lock Haven High School and obtained an Associates Degree in Tool & Die Making from Williamsport Area Community College.
He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard, proudly serving for 9 years.
Ken worked at Hammermill and International Paper Company for 35 years as a foreman in the paper machine department, retiring in 1992.
He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed building. He loved the outdoors and always looked forward to his trips to Colorado to hunt Elk and Canada to fish. Ken enjoyed showing his antique vehicles and traveling. He cherished the time he spent with his grandkids, especially teaching Jaden how to build and repair things.
Ken is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Pittman; a daughter, Mary (Robert) Dick of Mill Hall; a son, Kenny (Julie) Pittman of Lock Haven; two step-children, Tammy Caris of McElhattan and Danny Baker of Lock Haven; a sister, Kay Ferren of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Randy Baker of Pittsburgh.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 2 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
Friends and family will be received from 1P.M. until the time of the service.
Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, c/o Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
