Kenneth Q. "Ken" Polinske

Kenneth Q. Polinske, 81, of Stanley, passed away at Country Terrace in Stanley in the care of the staff and Interim Hospice.

Kenneth was born on May 5, 1943, one of 9 children born to Herbert and Gladys (Higbee) Polinske. He was raised in Ludington Township where he attended White Country School.

Kenneth was a farmer all of his life. For many years he worked and lived in Sand Creek. A few years after his mother passed away he returned to the family home in Wilson Township and made his home with his brothers, Philip and Bill. At this time he did worked for various farmers in the area. He eventually moved to Stanley and for the past 12 years had made his home at Country Terrace.

If you knew Kenneth, you aware of his love for All Star Wrestling as he never missed watching an episode and delighted with each and every super slam on the mat. He had a very unique sense of humor and appreciated a good joke as well as dishing it out too. He was in his glory when he was making someone smile and laugh. He also loved animals,

but especially dogs and throughout the years owned many.

Unable to completely care for himself he entered Country Terrace which turned out to be the perfect place for Ken. He was given excellent care there and truly felt like he was a part of their loving family, enjoying the time spent with the staff and residents and for this the family will be forever grateful. The family would also like to thank Interim Hospice for their care given to Ken during his last days with us.

Kenneth will be deeply missed by his brother Philip Polinske of Stanley; sister Joyce Pilgrim of Cadott; several nieces, nephews and family at Country Terrace.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1979; mother in 1988; siblings, Bob in 2002, Diane in 2003, William in 2011, Dave in 2013 and Al in 2016, Marilyn Mansur in 2023.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Ludington Cemetery.
