Kenneth “Ken” Eugene Rackley, 92, of Easley, South Carolina, beloved husband of the late Sue Barr Rackley, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Born on November 20, 1933, in Pickens County, South Carolina, to the late Coy R. Rackley and Elizabeth Young Rackley.
Kenneth was a kind-hearted man and a proud veteran. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years, demonstrating his commitment to his country with honor and distinction. Following his military service, Kenneth channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into a successful career, ultimately dedicating his time to rental property management.
Kenneth’s adventurous nature was evident in his accomplishment of obtaining a pilot’s license, a milestone he held dear. Outside of his professional life, he found joy in golfing.
He was an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Kenneth previously served as a deacon at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, reflecting his deep commitment to his spiritual community and his desire to serve others.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved daughter, Lisa Rackley Jordan of Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters, Kimberly D. Jordan and Ashley E. Lawvere; a grandson, Nicholas A. Jordan; a great-granddaughter, Evelyn Lawvere; and a great-grandson, Landon Jordan; two nephews, Tim Rackley and Jerry Rackley.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his brother, Melvin Rackley; and his sister, Dorothy R. Mauldin.
Kenneth Rackley’s legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and love. He will be remembered not only for his achievements and service but for the gentle and generous spirit he shared with all who knew him. His life stands as a testament to the enduring impact of commitment to family, faith, and community.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home- Powdersville Road, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
