It's Thanksgiving week! It's Grandma and your birthday week! You are in my thoughts almost everyday. Little Joseph loves having me tell the story about your camping trip with your buddies at Two Rivers State Park. You and the guys were just teenagers but old enough to know better. But the best part was the park ranger giving the fine to the adult camper that had possession of beer in the park in the first place. Who in their right mind would turn some teenage boys in for swipping beer out of his cooler! The irony of that boggles the mind.

You always kept me on my toes. Never a dull moment. What a challenge you were!
I love you throughout eternity...

Everyday you are in my thoughts. Today I'm remembering this little blond curley haired 4 year old wearing a little leather tool belt that grandpa gave him. They worked on building the inside of the family room. So cute. I love you so much!

Hi dad, it's been awhile but I sure do miss your calls. It's funny how in the end, it's the little things that meant the most. I think about you all the time. I've been making some bigs moves in life and hope it makes you proud. Thanks for watching out for me up there. I love you dad.

I grew up with Kenny here in Omaha in the 1980's. I was a few years younger than him. Nonetheless, we hung out a bit, and I looked up to him. He was always good to me, and he never was a mean spirit even when I was in the wrong. A tough guy, and a patriot who loved his country. It it good to see that he leaves behind a legacy. Prayers.

My dad had the most amazing/colorful fish tank. It was huge and he placed homes strategically so that all of his aggressive fish had their own territory. The people at the fish store could not believe the type of fish that he was able to house in the same tank. He would always chuckle at their ignorance. He knew how to create a cohesive ecosystem and did it very well. I would walk to the pet store about once a week to get "potato chips(gold fish )" and blood worms so that we could feed everybody. He even had a biker eel, peacock eel and some long grey eel with tiny eyes that would only come out during feeding time. That tank really inspired me and I would watch it for hours. That picture lives in my memory forever. Love Jess

My dad was a very tuff man. He expected me to show respect to my elders and he did the same. He didn't put up with anything and never backed down to nobody and that made me feel so safe. He loved riding his motorcycle at 120mph and told me that if I don't know how to 'Krasch', then I don't know how to ride. I did not meet my dad until I was 14 or 15 but I will never forget that first phone call(he was the coolest man alive in my eyes and I was so lucky that I had a dad who loved motorcycles). It seemed that the very next day he drove his motorcycle over 1000 miles non stop to come see me. I will never forget that day as it's as vivid as if it happened yesterday. That day changed my life forever. He took me all kinds of cool places on that boulevard(stories for another day). I love you so much dad and now you know that God exists and loves you. I'll see you later star child

Ken and his high-school buddies were camping at a state park. They were 15, 16 years old. I got a call from the park ranger to come pick them up. One of the other boys dad's went with me to get them. We walked into the ranger station, we saw the boys and a guy sitting. The ranger took us in his office. He told us the boys had been stealing beer from some of the campers so they were being suspended from the park. But he said see that guy, sitting out there. He's the one that turned them in. I'm looking forward to that conversation because no alcohol is allowed in the park. He's the one getting the fine. The ranger smiled and said you all have a good day.

I bought an old rambler for Ken and his step-dad to fix up. No power steering. But he didn't care. He lived that Rambler. He drove it to high-school. The engine was as simple as a rubber band pully. He had so much fun driving that car.

Every Sunday in football season Ken would call me during the game. His team was the 49ers. He would let me know what team was going to win. He made me laugh so hard I'd cried.
