Kenneth Albert Roe, 82, of Hope Mills passed away May 17, 2024.Born in Clay County, IL, he is the son of the late John Thomas and Evelyn Schenk Roe. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Florence Griffith, Deloris Michaels and Gladis Stansilaus; brothers, John Roe and Bob Roe.He is survived by his wife, Christine Roe; daughters, Regina Ross & husband Robert, Angela Smithson & husband Paul, Tonya Miranda & husband Kurt; step children, Robert Connors & wife Vickie, Kathy Jarman and Ruth Thomas & husband Ivan; brothers, Tom Roe & wife Carol and Jerry Roe & wife Karla; sisters, Dixie Denton & husband Duane; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Ken was born with an amazing talent.  He was an excellent carpenter, in his hands a piece of wood would become a creation.  He loved fishing, he was an amazing mechanic who could fix anything.  He was loved by his wife Kitty of 24 years and his family.  He was a generous man who would help anyone who asked.  He was a kind hearted friend and neighbor.He served his country faithfully for over 20 years in th US Army which included 3 tours in Vietnam.  He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Artillery Division.He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Hope Mills 4621 Cameron Road Hope Mills, NC 28348
