Kenneth Leo Rousselo

1932 - 2021

Kenneth Leo Rousselo, age 89, of Cary, North Carolina, formerly from Monroe, passed away on February 24, 2021. He was born January 1, 1932, one of seven children born to Leo D. and Lucy (Rogers) Rousselo. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Paul, and three sisters, Shirley Ard, Mary Myers, and Betty LaVoy. He is survived by a brother, Bob.

He was employed for 33 years at the GM Hydromatic plant in Toledo, Ohio, retiring in May of 1989. He was a member of the UAW Local 14, and also was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, receiving the Purple Heart for injuries sustained during the Korean Conflict.

Ken married the former Shirley Anderson on June 19, 1954, and from this union came four children. Deborah Schmidt, Julie Kaiser, Patricia Rousselo, and Kenneth A. Rousselo. Sadly, Deborah passed away July 24, 2020. He also had seven grandchildren, Darin Curson, Bryan and Megan Kaiser, Taylor and Steven Eason, Kenneth J. and Erin Rousselo.

Family and friends may visit Sunday March 7, at Rupp Funeral Home, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. A private funeral with Military Honors will be provided under the auspice of VFW Post 1138. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
