Kenneth Joseph Scherder, age 63, of Edgewood, KY passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 surrounded by his family. Ken is survived by his loving siblings, Kathleen Hutchison (the late Robert), Thomas J. Scherder (Laney), Marilyn Russell (Fred), Karen Scherder (Ray) and Deborah Broughton (Joe); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Evelyn Scherder; sister, Donna Flick and brother, James Scherder.

Ken’s bright light has dimmed here on earth but is shining brighter now in the loving arms of his Mom and Dad in heaven. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always quick with a joke. Ken worked at BAWAC for over 40 years and considered it his second home. He was an avid sports fans and loved watching the Reds, UK Basketball and Bengals. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing UNO and watching MASH reruns. His loving spirit and gentle heart will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Middendorf Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Barbara Church. Burial will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to BAWAC, Inc. (7970 Kentucky Dr, Florence, KY 41042).
