Kenneth L. Shearer

Kenneth L. Shearer, 85, of Lebanon passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at Lebanon Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Harvey L. and Anna Mae (Beckley) Shearer. Ken was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Lebanon Business School. He was employed at the general office of the local Bethlehem Steel for 27 years and worked for Bill Maloney Menswear in Hummelstown for the past 29 years and manager for the last 15 years. He was past president and member of the Board of Directors of Lebanon Community Concert Association for 40 years, and also the Board of Directors and member of the Lebanon County Choral Society in the 1960's where the late Dr. Spangler was the director. He studied private voice lessons with the late Professor Alexander Crawford at Lebanon Valley College and the late Justin Williams at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD. Ken's interests were sacred and classical music having done solo and choral works in Harrisburg, Lebanon County, New Jersey and Long Island, NY churches. He also enjoyed gardening, arts and antiques. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon and the Lebanon County Historical Society.
He is survived by a sister Lois Shearer of Lebanon, and good friend Randall I. Miller, Jr. of Campbelltown.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11AM from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of his service at the funeral home.
