In loving memory, we gather to celebrate the life of Kenneth Simmons, a vibrant spirit who graced our lives for nearly nineteen years. Born on December 28, 2006, in Talladega, Alabama, Kenneth was the beloved and cherished son of James and Stephanie Simmons. His journey on this earthly plane was marked by a loving nature, an unwavering sense of humor, and a profound passion for life, which he shared abundantly with those around him. Kenneth's radiant spirit and energetic presence lit up the lives of all who knew him. Kenneth was not only a devoted son but also a cherished member of the community. He accepted Christ as his personal savior during his formative years, a decision that guided him through his life. A proud student of the Talladega County School System, Kenneth shone brightly as an extraordinary athlete, particularly excelling in track, where his remarkable speed made him a formidable player. Whether sprinting down the football field, gliding on the track, or rounding the bases in baseball, Kenneth's athleticism was matched only by the joy he brought to each game. He was known for his electrifying speed, legs that moved like a jet, and an indomitable spirit that inspired his teammates and community alike. With dreams of graduating from Winterboro High School in May 2026 and pursuing a future career as a construction contractor, Kenneth was driven by ambition and a love for life. Alongside his studies, he dedicated time to working at Pop the Top Soda Shop, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to his goals. Kenneth's warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter were hallmarks of his character. Whether on the football field or surrounded by family and friends, he had a gift for uplifting those around him, often becoming the life of the party. He lived his life to the fullest enjoying everything it had to offer. In his relaxing time, he found peace along the serene riverbanks waiting for the "Big Catch". His boundless energy and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. Though our hearts ache at his absence, we find solace in knowing that Kenneth will forever reside in our memories, guiding us through life's challenges. Together, we will remember the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared so abundantly. On the early morning of September 1, 2025, at the tender age of nineteen, an unexpected call summoned Kenneth to his eternal home, a gentle reminder of the fragility of life and the promise of peace with our Heavenly Father. He was reunited with his grandfather, Dennis Fowler and uncle, Kenneth Glenn. As we reflect on his journey, may we hold his memory close, cherishing the moments of laughter, love, and dreams shared, knowing his spirit will forever inhabit our hearts. Kenneth leaves behind his devoted parents, James and Stephanie Simmons; three brothers, Cameron Borden, Marquez Curry, and Jayce Simmons; three sisters, Jordan Simmons, Amelia Simmons, and Tiffany Jones; special nephew, Blaze Curry; grandparents, Johnny and Annie Curry, Sr., Glenda Smoot, and Louise Edwards; aunts, Tiffany (Daniel) Fomby, Tamika (Jonathan) Walker, Christy Ragland, Twana Chapman, Neki Hall, Tierra Smoot, Denajah Chapman, Tamika Glenn, and Sessanee' Wallace; uncles, Johnny (Ashley) Curry, Jr., Christopher Curry, Perry Sanders, Jarvis Smoot, and Imani Smoot; as well as a host of loving relatives, friends, and teammates who will carry his spirit forward. In the embrace of our Heavenly Father, he is now at peace, free from the troubles of this world. Let us cherish the beautiful memories we hold and find comfort in the love that will endure. In this time of mourning, let us lift one another up, honoring Kenneth's life and his unyielding legacy of kindness, joy, and determination. May we keep his spirit alive in our hearts, reflecting the light he shared with us all.
