Kenneth L. Smith
11/14/1946—11/02/2025
Kenneth L. Smith (Butch, Kenny, Gunny, Grampy, Dad), passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025. Kenneth was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps – 3rd Force Recon. He earned his Florida State Certified General Contractors License in 1973. With that license and multiple generations of construction knowledge, he founded K. L. Smith Inc. This construction and roofing company, still thriving today, kept and lives by Ken’s core values: “Treat people fair and give back to the community, the rest will follow suit.”
There will be a ceremony at Heath Funeral Chapel on November 14, 2025, at 12pm, the date of Ken’s birthday. Immediately following the ceremony will be a reception in the Heath Tribute Center to have a drink and tell a few Ken Smith stories. There are no shortage of those stories! Ken led a full, adventurous, and very eventful life.
