Kenneth Stambaugh 69, of 61 Knorr Lane, Clinton, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Accordius Health of Concord.
Kenneth was born in Troy, Ohio on May 13, 1953 to the late Harold and Evelyn (Shisler) Stambaugh. He retired from Piqua City Schools after 30 years of service and moved to North Carolina. He was a devoted husband and loving father to his girls. He loved NASCAR, fishing, and hunting. He especially loved his pre-1840 re-enactment camping. Most of all he loved his grandchildren.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn Stambaugh; his brother Tymothy Leroy Stambaugh; and his uncle James Stambaugh Sr.
Family will receive friends this week at 61 Knorr Lane, Clinton from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years: Cathy Ann (Harris) Stambaugh; daughters Jaime Beth McNeill and Megan Diane Shaw; his 7 grandchildren: Kelsey Mae McNeill, Bailee Elisabeth Shaw, Brianna Nicole McNeill, Larry Dale McNeill Jr. "L J", Riley Ann Shaw, Emberly Kay Shaw and Shelby Lynn Shaw; mother-in-law, Shirley Mae DeWeese; son-in-laws, Larry Dale McNeill and Andy Lee Shaw; sister Cheryl Trissel (Ron); brother, Harold Stambaugh; Aunt Sally Stambaugh; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Duplin Sampson Group Homes.

Kenny was one of a kind. I've known him since the 70s. He used to drive his wife and many of our friends to social gatherings through the years. He always had a smile and was so fun to be around. My kids remember him at the Heritage Days camp-out over Labor Day weekend. You will be remembered fondly Kenny! Love to your beautiful family.
