Kenneth Y. Stricker

1925 - 2024

Janesville, WI - Kenneth Y. Stricker, a life-long Janesville area resident passed away Tuesday night, January 9, 2024 at Oak Park Place at age 98. He was born in Milton on December 2, 1925, the son of Carl and Myrtle (Yale) Stricker. He grew up on a farm near Milton and graduated from Milton Union High School at age 16 as valedictorian of his class.

Kenneth married Sarita Mae Drafahl on June 18, 1949. He farmed in the area and was also employed at General Motors for 30 years.

Kenneth was an active member of the churches that he attended. He was presently a member to Cargill United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Janesville Masonic Lodge for 60 years. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Joe) Roehl of Janesville; daughter-in-law, Beverly Stricker; grandchildren, Mike (Mandie) Roehl, Doug Amelia) Roehl, Shyla (Matt) Hansche, Daniel (Rosalinde) Dotterwich; eight great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Sarita on March 8, 2015. He is also preceded in death by his son, Steven Stricker, his daughter, Karen Schultz, his parents and his brother, Harry Stricker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Rev. Steve Scott will officiate. Private burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20th at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
