Ft. Dodge - Kenneth Eugene Tague, 81, died December 28, 2025 at Halsey Hall in Fort Dodge, Kansas. He was born on July 14, 1944 at Chicago, Illinois the son of Charles and Theda (Morgison) Tague.
Kenneth was a United States Navy Veteran. He was stationed in Boston and proudly served on the USS Wasp. The ship protected the coast and later was used to pick up the astronauts when they returned from space. He married Victoria Duessing on March 19, 1975 in Dodge City.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Victoria; two daughters, Deiedra Rogers and husband Toby of Spearville and Laura George and husband Charlie of Evergreen, Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Tague of Lincoln, Nebraska; special son, Michael Thomas and wife Kimberly of Scottsdale, Arizona; one brother, Mark Tague and wife Becky of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Ginia Tague of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren with one more arriving in May. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Tague, Jr.; one son, Ryan Tague; and a grandson, Scott Tague.
Graveside service will be held at the New St. Joseph Cemetery, Offerle on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Timothy Hickey presiding. Military honors will be provided by United States Navy Funeral Honors and Southwest Kansas Veterans Funeral Honor Guard. A book signing will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 2, 2026 from noon to 5:00 PM. The casket will remain closed. Memorials are suggested to Ripple & Liebel Vet for the spay and neuter of stray cats, Hospice of the Prairie, or Halsey Hall Activity Fund at Fort Dodge in care of the funeral home.
