Kenneth James Wallock

Kenneth J. Wallock, age 80, of Hoffman Estates. Loving husband of the late Pamela Wallock. Proud father of Sherry (Christopher) Douglas and Steven (Angela) Wallock. Beloved Grandpa of Elizabeth and Daniel Douglas and Papa of Samuel Wallock.

Ken proudly served in the Air Force from 1962-68, including a tour in Vietnam. Upon returning home he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas. While working at Ford Motor Company, he met and married Pamela, the love of his life. He worked for several companies as a computer programmer, leading to a Director of Information Systems position at RCI. In 1987 he started his own business, Data Converters, Inc., which he ran with great success through 2013. He finished his career at Experian and retired in 2013.

Ken was a passionate car-enthusiast. He and Pam loved to participate in road rally races in his 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee. He loved drag racing. He was crew chief for the Barker Automotive Racing Team and even won Route 66's Crew Chief of the Year Award. He also loved to race his 1997 Mustang Cobra down the dragstrip and has passed that love of cars and drag racing on to his grandchildren.

"Papa Bear" was a devoted Chicago sports fan, cheering on Da Bears and the Cubbies.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, from 3 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Memorials will be appreciated to the American Lung Association or Vietnam Veterans Association.
