Kenneth Wehr Obituary

Kenneth E. Wehr, 83, of Renfrew, passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries at Cabot.
Born Sept. 5, 1941, in Renfrew, he was the son to the late Edward O. and Frances L. (Doutt) Wehr.
Kenneth graduated from Evans City High School in 1959. He then went on to work for ARMCO Steel as an electrician, until retiring on June 29, 1998, after 40 years of service. Kenneth was also a longtime member of Meridian Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the choir. In addition, Kenneth was a member of the Butler Volunteer Fire District 3 and the Meridian Vets Club, as well as being a past member of the Butler County EMS Council. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, pistol shooting and country-western dancing with his wife, Cheryll. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades that was always willing to help his friends and family.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Cheryll J. (Koch) Wehr, whom he married on May 15, 1963; his two daughters, Stacey L. (Patrick) Rattigan and Penny J. Kummer; his son, Toby L. (Stacy) Wehr; his seven grandchildren, Travis Rattigan, Tyler (Kristen) Rattigan, Alyssa (Kaela Reinhart) Kummer, Troy (Kayla Linhart) Kummer, Justin (Ashley) Karam, Kristin Karam and Coltin Wehr; his six great-granddaughters, Kenleigh Rattigan, Syndey Rattigan, Ava Rattigan, Olivia Rattigan, MaciLyn Kummer and Lilly Kummer; his brother, Edward O. (Beverly) Wehr Jr.; his two sisters, Karen Shulz and Rebecca (Dan) Gitzen; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Kummer; as well as his brothers-in-law, William Shulz and Craig Burkert.
WEHR - Family and friends of Kenneth E. Wehr, who died Friday, June 13, 2025, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 East North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Meridian Presbyterian Church, 150 Highland Ave., Meridian, with Pastor Steve Franklin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kenneth's name may be made to Meridian Presbyterian Church, 150 Highland Ave., Meridian, PA 16001, www.meridianpres.org/online-giving.

Cheryll and family so sorry to hear of Ken´s passing. He was always fun when we went Two stepping and when I saw him at the church.
He will be missed.

Sympathies for the family´s loss of Ken here on earth. I met Ken and Cheryl as we were neighbors and he was never too busy to share time and a chat. Kristin is a treasure and loved her pap. Respectfully.
