Mr. Werring was by far my favorite teacher ~ Beyond the academics he taught his students kindness, honesty and integrity. When my mother passed away in 2004 Mr. Werring sent condolences to me with scriptures and words of comfort and encouragement. We spoke on various occasions over the years and have kept in touch. It was always such a pleasure to talk to him and hear his booming voice resounding on issues and ideas. He was a very special person who shared his faith in God, gave hope to others about the Lord Jesus, and he will be deeply missed. He was an example of what a teacher should be- the world of teachers would have done well under his tutelage!

We feel deeply with you, Mary, in receiving the message about Ken. Our return to the West Coast of Florida also brings us back into connection with you--at this time through brother-in-law Dennis, and our reflections on friendship with Ken will be accompanied with prayers for your strength and peace. We join with you and your family in thanksgiving to God for Ken's gifted and caring life.

I knew ken over 60 years and glad of it. He was a Christian first and lived his life as service to the Lord. I last visited him in December and he reminded me that God's will be done. I will miss our visits.

One of my most favorite- if not most favorite teachers. I respected him. Thanks for making learning fun and your service to the community. Rest in peace Mr. Werring
