I am still remembering September 11. Kenneth White, Jr. was my cousin. Kenneth, Sr. was my uncle, a brother of my dad Huel White. My dad told many stories of growing up with Kenny in Missouri, especially how their mom Adah struggled to support the family after their father Floyd passed away. Many prayers to you and sympathy for you on the September anniversary and Kenny's birthday.

To the family of Kenneth W. White
The Chapel in the City of Providence where I worked at the time held an outdoor prayer service shortly after 9/11. The Chapel also had a wall prepared with names, ages and city of origin on small slips of paper for us to select and continue our prayers in private. The slip I selected read "Kenneth W. White, 50, New York, N.Y."
I was fifty at the time and was drawn to his name because we were the same age. When I have prayed for Kenneth White over the years, I wondered who he was and wished I could put a face to his name. This morning while watching special coverage on television for 9/11 I remembered Kenneth and tried to google his name and found this site. In the future as a continue to pray for Kenneth White I will do so knowing he was a hard-working family man who was loved and cherished by his family and friends. I owned a SeaSprite sailboat for 10 yrs which I enjoyed on Narragansett Bay during my 50's. I felt another connection to Kenneth when I read he was a sailor too. God bless the family of Kenneth White and may his memory be eternal. Sincerely, Judy Rhode Island

To Kenny's Family,

We spent lots of time with Kenny in his early elementary school years before the family moved to Staten Island. We all remember him as a kind and very happy person. From reading these tributes, it seems Kenny remained that person. I was watching cnn on this fourth anniversary and was happy to see I could access something about Kenny. I hope that Laura, Lizzie and Elaine and their Mom are all well. We have very fond memories of Kenny. I am happy to see he had a family of his own.

Ken was in my graduating class from Tottenville High School on Staten Island in 1968. I remember him as a friendly guy who always had a smile. I worked at ground zero for one week in January 2002, protecting the safety and health of the rescue workers. Being there maked me feel an even stronger connection to him. To his family and loved ones, I am so very sorry for your loss in the greatest tragedy we have known in our lifetime.

Sincerely,

Judy Posusney, nee Pansini

Ken,

I can't believe it's two years. It still does not seem real. I miss my big brother, and all your corny jokes. I guess you're chewing off Dad's ear up there. Thinking of you today and always.

Dear Catherine and family,

Shawn and I feel helpless here in Tennessee. I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet Ken. I have heard several stories about Ken from Shawn and Brian. I just wanted to the family to know that Ken is in our thoughts almost everyday.

Hi Kenny. Today marks a year, but yesterday marked the last time we spoke. You will never know how much I regret our last conversation and if I live to be a thousand years old, I will always regret it. I am so sorry I rushed you off the phone that day, I just didnt think there wouldnt be another phone call. I miss you and Joe so much, some days I think it isnt even real. I hope that where ever you are (on that sailboat up above) you forgive me and know how much your friendship meant to me. I love you buddy.

Dear Mrs. White and family,

I am proud to have known Kenny. He worked as a technician for IPC when I worked for Drexel at 60 Broad Street. He often spoke proudly of you. More recently, I would occasionally run into him as we were both housed in the North Tower. He was a very special person. I know that today, 9/11/02, cannot be easy for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I work for St. Dominic High School. We, the entire student body & faculty & staff drew a name from a container from the list of the 3010 deceased of 9/11/01. We will not only be praying for our person chosen, but, we will have a paper chain hung around our gymnasium with each of the victims names on the chain - during our all school mass on 9/11/02. Last years mass was PEACE, and going on, when the tragedy happened. This year's mass is HOPE for Tomorrow and Gratitude for Today. I was fortunate to choose Kenneth W. White's name. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

May God Bless You.

Dear Mrs. White,

I am a class mate of Ken's. We graduated from Tottenville High School in 1968. My friend Judy Pansini has already been in touch with you. I am so sorry for your loss. I believe Ken was at our 25th reunion held on S.I. in 1993. That was the lasttime I would have seen him. I hope he is in a better place and that your pain and grief will soon pass. God bless you. America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
