Kenneth "Ken" L. Wyland
CARLISLE - Kenneth "Ken" L. Wyland, age 68, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at UPMC West Shore surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 19, 1955 in Mechanicsburg, PA to Dollie A. (Inch) Wyland and the late Howard J. Wyland, Sr. Ken owned and operated the former Starting Line Auto Body in New Kingstown, PA for over 30 years. He then went to finish his career with Fine Line Auto Body in Carlisle, PA. Ken was a member of the New Kingstown Fire Co. for over 50 years and was also a member of many clubs including the Mechanicsburg Club, Enola Sportsmen's Assoc, Pleasant View Hunting Camp, Hershey Region AACA, Carlisle Moose Lodge and the Mechanicsburg VFW and American Legion.
Ken also loved his antique cars but he will be most remembered for his love and devotion to his family and the very special place he held in his heart for his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dianne M. (Hosler) Wyland; daughters Heather M. Robbins and her husband Kerry of Enola, PA, Renee L. Rudy and her husband Joshua of Lykens, PA and Robin L. Toot and her husband Keegan of New Kingstown, PA.; grandchildren Konnor, Henry, Sawyer, Mackenzie and one on the way. Ken is also survived by his brother Howard Wyland, Jr. and his wife Sandi of New Kingstown, PA and sister Christine M. Gutshall and her husband Jim of Carlisle, PA. along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and also on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ken for his grandchildren, through Venmo, at @KennyWylandGrandkids11852.
