Washington- Kenneth Michael Yoder was born August 19, 2001, in Somerset, PA, the son of Mervin and Ada (Mast) Yoder. Kenneth Lived life to the fullest! He was a very compassionate, sensitive person who felt life deeply. Kenneth accepted Jesus Christ as his savior when he was 15 years old, and was baptized in the spring of 2018. He was employed at Performance Health and Fitness and Jada Pay. Kenneth loved his family, hanging out with his friends and his Doberman puppy, Gigi. He enjoyed bodybuilding, music and his street bike was his therapy. Kenneth died Friday, March 22, 2024, at the University Hospital in Iowa City, at the age of 22 years old.
Kenneth is survived by his parents; six siblings, Amy (Ben) Shores, Tina (Don) Stutzman, Luke, Cynthia, Dakota and Chad Yoder all of Washington, IA; grandparents, Herman and Mary Yoder of Veray, IN and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Enos and Elizabeth Mast and Aunt, Lavina Yoder.
A Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm then from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland, Iowa on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. A General Memorial Fund has been established. The service will be live streamed on Powell Funeral Home Facebook page. Messages may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com. Yoder Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is caring for Kenneth and his Family.
